Trikes - Seat Type
   
Mesh seat - Standard
The mesh fabric seat is a comfortable general purpose seat, extremely breathable and instantly adapts to your body shape.
Hard Shell Seat - Optional Upgrade
The optional hard shell seat has been proven on the Trice S in the 2006 season and has now been further improved. It is made from Glass Fibre and comes with a soft, breathable cover. It also now has adjustable side supports (Love Handles!)which improve cornering performance by helping to keep your lower body in position and giving you a brace against the side ways G-Force that exciting cornering can generate. An adjustable neck rest is available as an optional accessory.

 

Adjustment and tuning
The Trice Q and T have a wide range of adjustments possible on the seat position and angle. The hard shell seat has two ranges of adjustment -
3 angles at a sort wheelbase more upright setting,
3 angles at a long wheelbase more reclined setting.

If the most reclined settings in the long wheelbase range are used on the QNT then we offer an upgrade kit to fine tune the handlebar position and steering geometry for perfect ergonomics and optimum handling. This kit only fits the QNT and should ONLY be used in the hard shell seat long wheelbase mode.

The hard shell seat is available in two sizes -
Medium - Torso measurement ??????
Large - Torso measurement ??????

 

Optional Seat Adjustment Brackets
We also have a range of adaptor brackets for the seats to increase the range of adjustments. Please see the trike size page to check if you may need them. Please note that not all combinations will work with pre 2007 trikes, please ask.
Additional bracket types available are:-		  
Short Riders
FF - moves front seat mount forward for very short legged riders. Short riders on the Q who use this bracket and would like to be more upright would also need the TT bracket.
Tall Riders
FB - moves front seat mount backwards for very long legged riders. Note that using this bracket with the hard shell seat will reduce the maximum recline available.

Off Road
Use the TT bracket on the 2007 Trice Q or QNT in conjunction with FB to improve rear wheel traction and weight distribution for OFF ROAD riding (not a recommended combination for short riders - also not compatible with pre 2007 Q, S or T)
