Borealis - Trice Q NT Velomobile
Currently in the final stage of development this stunning looking velomobile conversion kit will soon be available to transform your Trice QNT into a fully fledged velomobile. The ICE customised machine shown here will be on show for the first time at Spezi in Germany on April 26/27.

The super glossy shell and all special velomobile parts are manufactured by Kayak specialists Rainforest Designs Ltd in Canada. Steve Schleicher, the owner has spent many years developing velomobiles as a side line to his main business as you can see from his log pages

The kit can be added to and removed from a standard 2006 onwards Trice QNT without any modifications to the basic QNT. The QNT drive train becomes all enclosed and body has good storage space.
Getting in and out is easy with the wide opening hinged top and there is no need to step on the seat or frame inside. Foot cutouts in the floor give heel clearance and allow reversing. A lighting system and traffic indicators will be available.

Radical Allfa Side Panniers S (Hard shell seat only)
A pair of top quality 2 x 20 Ltr bags form an excellent shape behind the riders profile minimising drag. In our tests, it takes considerably more bubble wrap to fill these than a pair of large 2 x 25Ltr panniers!

These bags also allow higher load capacity with the rear suspension as some of the load is supported by the seat instead of it all being on the cantilevered rack if conventional panniers were to be used.

Can be used on the hard shell seat option without a rear carrier.

Side "Handle Bar Bag" Mount
Side "handle bar bag" mount to fit handlebar bag along side seat. Can be mounted on either side of the trike. Works with all mesh seat models. Very useful for accessing items without getting off the trike. Max recommended load 8lbs (3.6Kg). Also consider the Radical side Pods which provide more capacity and are much lighter weight than side bag mount and handlebar bag.

Standard Trice Rear Carrier (optional)
6061 T6 Alloy rear carrier with quick release mounting kit. This carrier is made to our design and has some great features making it a highly practical addition to your trike. It is designed to work with the standard Trice folding rear suspension and so is cantilever mounted with two QUICK RELEASE levers making it easy to remove before folding or just easy to fit or leave off for any journey (keeping weight to a minimum at all times).
The carrier sides allow the bags to be mounted low down and keep them clear of the rear swing arm. The top surface of the carrier is wide providing a stable platform and the rear face has multiple mounting options for fixing up to 3 rear lights. The carrier is also supplied with a built in rear mudguard and so when folding the Trice the rear mudguard is automatically removed with the carrier...simple!
The carrier is supplied with a Green (harder) Elastomer for the rear suspension which will be appropriate for most people when the carrier is heavily loaded.

Please note that the Trice comes with a rear reflector mounting for the seat rails which can alternatively be used for fixing a rear light. If the optional neck rest is fitted then this also comes with a mounting point for a "seat post" fixing rear light.

Max recommended carrier load 25Kg.

Rear Mudguard (included with trike)
Quick Release Rear Mudguard with adjustable clearance for suspension travel and any tyre size. The mudguard can be quickly removed to give the minimum size when folding the rear suspension. If a rear carrier is used then a built in mudguard comes with the carrier.

The rear frame is equipped with mounting points for a close fitting full rear mudguard and stays (not supplied by ICE). If a close fitting mudguard is used then the folding action of the rear swing arm will be reduced and the folded size will be increased. When the rear wheel is removed for folding then a close fitting mudguard profile would be left exposed and could easily be damaged when the trike is stowed. If a full wrap mudguard is required then we offer an optional quick release version below.

Full Wrap Rear Mudguard With Quick Release For Folding
For those who would like to prevent spray from the rear wheel getting onto other riders following close behind we offer this full wrap mudguard. This mudguard is also quick release and does not limit the folding function. It has been designed to allow the use of the optional rear disc brake and is adjustable for big or small tyres. It is also compatible with a Rohloff hub if one is fitted.

Note:- If the optional rear carrier is used with this mudguard then the carrier mudguard profile must be removed.
