Greetings
Neil,
I hope the season finds you well. I have
had my XXL for about a month now and intentionally
held off writing to you until now because
I wanted to give a subjective report after
the excitement of receiving a new trike
and the grin on my face had worn off. I
have since had time to put some miles on
the trike and neither the excitement or
the grin has worn off yet !
Kudo's to you and your fellow craftsmen.
The XXL is a true work of art from its performance
to its fit and finish.
I am exceedingly pleased with the custom
handlebars, which give just the right amount
of clearance for my large hands, to the
custom mirror mounts ( no vibration problem)
which relieve me from having to move my
head to see behind me ( problem when mirrors
mounted on the handlebars). The hardback
seat? Neil, there is no way I could ever
go back to the lawnchair. The extra power
to the cranks is very evident and besides
being comfortable the seat almost disappears
after a few minutes.
I am a ham radio operator so as you can
see from the pics I get my morning workouts
as Tadpole mobile KM4P which is twice as
fun.
Much research went into my decision to purchase
the XXL. I traveled over much of the country
testing and examining different makes and
models . Dan Tyranowski had the only XXL
in the USA at that time so I flew from Florida
to Chicago,Illinois in the dead of winter
to inspect and ride the machine (even though
it was on rollers because it was snowing
outside).
My decision to go with ICE was greatly influenced
by your quick e-mail responses, your friendly
honest answers to all my concerns and by
your GREAT faithful and most convincing
customer base without whom I could never
had been able to come to such an easy decision.
My gratitude and thanks to Dan Tyranowski,
Charlie Huffman (who let me ride his XL
on a rail-trail and was riding alongside
on another bent to answer all my questions-a
true gentleman), to Fred Lenk (Mr Tadpole
par excellence) who along with Franny Yerkes
was kind enough to answer all of my many
emails and to John Wood of the Caloosa Riders
who first told me about ICE TRICE.
Also, I would be remiss if I did not mention
Chris,your very helpful and capable dealer
at Bicycle One in Gahanna,Ohio. Chris never
blinked an eye when I added or changed options
and always paid attention to detail as well
as follow up. He set up the trike perfectly
. He is a most cheerful fellow whom I would
recommend to anyone.
ICE TRICE is the " Gold Standard".
