Hi!

Happy Easter.

What's interesting in your life?

After 4500ish k gave the 'trike a birthday.
Bath, new tyres and chain.

Tyres now Continetal Top Touring 2000 37-406 forward, and Schwalbe City Jet 32-406 aft, same as original.
All now at full pressure.
I had reduced the pressure because of vibration induced coughing fits.
Again, I reckon that Flataway has saved me from several punctures.
The left tyre was a real mess of holes and cuts.
Two holes showed daylight, and would have given extrusion punctures, but for the Flataway.
Chain just worn down by 1% as measured by the clever little Park tool.

Rode round the 31 Churches last Tuesday.
My Easter Pilgrimage.
Less vibration with the bigger tyres.
121.23k 07:40:24 rolling, 15.84kph, 65.6 kph.
Slow, but it's a very stop start ride, and fairly hilly.
Experimentally used a liquid food, PSP22.

Rode my March randonee yesterday, feeling good and going well.
Home, Romsey, Fordingbridge, Wimborne, Sherborne, Shaftesbury, Wimborne, Fordingbridge, Romsey, home.
223.11, 12:52:05, 17.34, 61.6.
13:45 overall, 16.23.
Cool and mostly cloudy, but enough sun to give a 'bent tan, (upper surface of arms and legs).
Radio 4 lasted all the way to Sherborne, and Wyrd Sisters ended as I came up the hill to Chilworth Old Village.
(I had started Wyrd Sisters before)
R4 is unusual, I usually lose reception about Blandford, and alternative frequencies ain't.
PSP22 for fuel again, and a couple of Mars Bars, bought to provide evidence.
Expensive, but good stuff, I reckon.
Rode all day with only pee and control stops, no 'wall' at all.
Only discomfort was 'bent feet, and that less severe on the 'trike than the 'bent.
Lots of smiles and friendly honks and waves.
Two people took a close interest in Sherborne, accepted the handout, and had a seat.
My first ever 'get out of the way' honk from a Landrover in a narrow lane.
Almost everyone else hung back until they could pass comfortably.
A couple a bit late and wide, flashing lights and honks and burnt rubber from oncoming traffic.

I reckon that I'm a 'trikist.
The stability is well worth the relative inefficiency and width.
Now for a better 'trike?

Seeya
