Neil,

It's taken me a very long time, but herewith please find the photos of my Explorer as promised. The first was taken last year on the island of Mull - a good example of the trikes carrying capability - and it also shows the solar panel (mounted behind the seat) that I use for charging the battery of my ham radio transceiver. A better picture of the panel is the second one - taken last week on the island of North Uist in the Outer Hebrides. The solar panel charges a sealed 2.8 Ah lead-acid battery contained in the black box just in front of the panel.
Several passers-by asked where the electric motor was!!!!

Finally, your suggestion of using a telescopic fishing rod to support my ham radio antenna was an excellent one - the third picture is one of my campsites last week on the island of Barra - the rod rises to 17 feet and I had some good conversations with hams in the USA from this site - not bad for a little radio consuming just 5 watts of power. But where do you put the rod when you are on the move, I can hear you asking - well, it breaks down into two 3 foot long rods which fit nicely either side of the front chain wheel boom - although they do cause even more confusion among the passers-by!

The Trike is without question the best machine I've ever owned - keep up the good work

Regards Bob Bower, Kilmarnock
