The Pioneer is a very capable touring and commuting trike. The combination of super narrow track, good ground clearance and large load capacity particularly suits people of average to slim build looking for a compact touring machine.
The Pioneer can actually be fitted with the same range of accessories as the Explorer. The Pioneer has 18" front wheels to allow a good turning circle from a machine with the smallest overall width, making it ideal for nipping through narrow gaps in town and avoiding bollards on cycle paths.
The 20" rear wheel give a good range of gears and all of our 20" gearing options are available. If your roads and trails are particularly rough and you opt for rear suspension, an ICE built cantilevered rack which fastens to the seat, not the frame ensures no matter what you carry the suspension always works with optimum efficiency.
If you are planning a tour in foreign lands the Pioneer's small frame, which like all Trice has the ability to be split into small sections, means you can pack the trike into a suitable box or bag for safe and easy transportation.
